How to read your document set!

What is my document set?

Your document set is the technical roadmap for your newly installed system. You’ll find your system size, the specs for all of your new equipment, a plot plan of where this equipment is located on your property, and the model names for each piece of equipment.

1. General Information

Page one hosts information related to your system size, module, inverter, and battery type (depending on your project). This information is typically listed in the “system specifications” or “equipment summary” section.

2. Property Plan/ Layout

Page 2, or sometimes 3, will show the layout of your solar panels on your roof. Sometimes, during installation, the layout changes slightly due to unforeseen roof obstacles. Each red box below represents a solar module.

3. Electrical Plan / String Layout

Page 3 or 4 will show the string diagram of your system. This maps out where the wiring between the modules goes. If there are any issues post- installation, we’ll take a look at this map alongside the monitoring system to diagnose any issues.

4. Attachment Plan

The attachment plan shows how the solar array system will attach onto your roof.

5. Electrical Line Diagram

This page shows how your new system connects into your property’s existing (or new) electrical service.

6. Spec Sheets

The last few pages of your document set will be comprised of spec sheets for the various parts of your system. Below are a few examples of spec sheets.
