Position Responsibilities:

  • Drive overall residential sales
  • Act as a company advocate
  • Help to set and meet sales targets
  • Oversee marketing and lead generation initiatives
  • Provide sales reports to the General Manager

Description:

The ​Residential Sales Manager​ will be responsible for driving solar marketing efforts, overseeing a team of qualified sales representatives, and generating and closing their own leads. They will be required to quickly learn about Solar States’ products and financials. The Residential Sales Manager should be ambitious, outgoing, and detail-oriented. Their role is to lead the sales team to meet and exceed sales goals set in collaboration with management. We are looking for a self-motivated person who excels at working collaboratively in a growth-oriented environment. Analytics will be a priority in this role as understanding, creating, and evaluating metrics in sales will be the driving force behind this position.

Solar Installer

Job Description

Solar States is seeking an independent and capable Solar Installer to help our install team meet our residential solar installation pipeline

Position Responsibilities:

  • Install photovoltaic (PV) systems (modules and racking) in accordance with codes and standards using and following designs, drawings, and specs
  • Working on residential and small commercial roof-tops as well as installing ground mounted systems, and other custom installations
  • Pulling of inventory and knowledge of solar parts for specific projects
  • Operate general carpentry, hand, and power tools
  • Assist with electrical work as needed to connect solar system to electric grid
  • Manage & maintain cleanliness and organization of your crews vehicle and the company warehouse
  • Identify electrical, environmental and safety hazards associated with installation
  • OSHA 10 qualifications (required)
  • OSHA 30 qualifications (preferred) Essential Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  • Comfort with heights and electrical work while maintaining a comfortable fear of potentially hazardous situations, see above for OSHA requirements
  • Ability to work under supervision after appropriate training
  • Clean driving record with current and valid driver’s license

The job will include measuring, cutting, assembling, and bolting structural framing and solar modules. This position also includes minor electrical work and working from heights and enclosed spaces, so you should be comfortable in all scenarios. The Installer will be responsible for jobs in the Pennsylvania and New Jersey region, with travel to other states as needed. Overnight travel may be required. Solar installation is largely outdoor work, and installers are expected to dress appropriately for the weather. No one will be asked to work under unsafe conditions.

Lead Solar Installer

Job Description

Solar States is seeking a capable and experienced Lead Solar Installer to lead our residential crew in meeting our solar pipeline in NJ and PA

Position Responsibilities:

  • Install photovoltaic (PV) systems (modules and racking) in accordance with codes and standards using and following design, drawings, and specs
  • Working on residential and commercial roof-tops as well as installing ground mounted systems, and other custom installations
  • Pulling of inventory and knowledge of solar inventory for specific projects
  • Operate general carpentry, hand, and power tools
  • Perform electrical work as needed to connect solar system to electric grid
  • Identify electrical, environmental and safety hazards associated with installation
  • OSHA 30 qualifications (required)
  • Taking photos, documenting job site, and posting photos to PM software
  • Truck & Inventory understanding of solar equipment.
  • Manage & maintain cleanliness and organization of your crews vehicle and the company warehouse
  • Ensuring safety of entire crew and double-checking of all site safety equipment
  • Valid driver’s license

Essential Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Responsible for Assistant Crew Lead to help manage the crew
  • T-Sheets management for the entire crew including lunch, job codes, notes, clock-ins, clock-outs, even when working on larger commercial crews
  • Job Folders filled out and turned in

  • Provide employee reviews of installers working under the lead to Solar States management

Solar Sales Consultant

Job Description

Solar States is seeking a creative and enthusiastic Solar Sales Consultant to help maintain and grow our current sales goals in the solar industry.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Generate solar energy customer leads
  • Manage the sales cycle from lead generation to contract signing
  • Track and organize client data in Solar States’ database systems
  • Act as a knowledgeable and credible consultative sales professional to ensure a high integrity process that fully and transparently informs the client
  • Drive a high level of self-generated sales through direct marketing, customer referrals, partnerships and events
  • Conduct analysis of customers projected electrical usage and financial ROI and successfully execute a sales proposal and contract
  • Select solar energy products, systems, or services for customers based on electrical energy requirements, site conditions and price
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to the client, helping create a flawless experience for the client throughout the sales and installation process.
  • Perform daily activities in a highly organized and interconnected team environment, using all company communication platforms (strong organizational ability required)
  • Provide technical information about solar power, solar systems and/or equipment to potential customers
  • Network in the community and in the industry through attending various events
  • Provide sales reports to the Sales Manager

Essential Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Proven industry or solar sales (2+ years preferred)
  • Quantifiable track record of meeting or exceeding sales metrics
  • Highly knowledgeable about solar technology, with the ability to articulate the financial, technical and environmental merits of a solar system.
  • Detail oriented and polite, with excellent verbal and written communication skills and a dedication to high levels of customer service.
