After receiving his bachelor’s degree in Community, Environment, and Development from the Schreyer Honors College at Penn State University, Leif drove across the country to complete a residential solar installation internship in Bellingham, WA. It did not take long before his initial interest in the industry turned to passion. One year later, Leif began his full-time job as a Solar & Battery Design Specialist at Solar States.

Outside of the realm of solar, Leif has had a number of experiences that prepared him for a position with an industry leading company like Solar States. Spending more than five years working both full-time and part-time in the hospitality industry has taught him customer service and interpersonal skills that have proven to be directly transferable to the design and consultation role that he currently holds. Leif also has a background in real estate as he completed a hotel real estate valuation internship and also just purchased his first investment property right here in Philadelphia.

In his free time, Leif enjoys learning languages, staying physically active, and reading books of all kinds.
