Welcome back ladies and gentlemen to the ‘The Last Great Show on Earth’ (NY Times, maybe…) – that’s right: the Solar States Newsletter! Good to see ya, yada yada.

To get you out and informed, a few quick updates.

1. The one and only Adam created a website to showcase solar in Philadelphia – solarofacity.com. Adam, when pried for a summary of the site, “Solar of a City is a showcase of the city of Philadelphia as well as its changing energy infrastructure. The purpose of this showcase is to give you an understanding of the complexity and intricacies of the city and how those very complexities can foster something beautiful.” If pretty pictures make you happy, here’s your happy place.
2. In partnership with the School District of Philadelphia, YouthBuild Philly, ECA, the Philadelphia Energy Authority and the Philadelphia Education Fund, Solar States is helping to develop the statewide Career Technical Education (CTE) curriculum that will be taught in high schools across the entire state! We’re very proud of this. Here comes the next generation.
3. For you sunny Philadelphians and all your sunny friends, Solarize is back on. This is the premiere group-buying solar program in Philadelphia. Homeowners can qualify for thousands of dollars toward a home solar system. More than 500 Philadelphians have already taken advantage, and many more have inquired and are waiting in the wings. This is perfect small talk for this week. Imagine, when the neighbor asks what’s new since yesterday, you actually have something! Perhaps too good to be true….
